Neuro Forge Therapy

Neuro Forge Therapy is a multidisciplinary group therapy practice providing trauma-informed, evidence-based counseling services for individuals across the lifespan. Our licensed clinicians specialize in a range of therapeutic approaches, allowing us to support clients with diverse mental health needs—including trauma recovery, addiction treatment, grief counseling, and identity-affirming care. We believe effective therapy honors both the science of the brain and the lived experience of the person.

Our services include EMDR therapy, Somatic Attachment Psychotherapy (SAP), addiction and substance use counseling, and grief and loss therapy, as well as equine-assisted therapy for experiential healing. Neuro Forge Therapy proudly offers LGBTQ+ affirming counseling and developmentally appropriate therapy for adolescents, adults, and geriatric clients. While each clinician brings unique training and specialties, all care is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and respect.

Whether you are navigating trauma, managing anxiety or depression, processing loss, or seeking deeper self-understanding, our therapists work with you to create a personalized treatment plan that supports long-term healing, emotional regulation, and resilience.

Our Services

EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help individuals process and heal from traumatic or distressing experiences. At Neuro Forge Therapy, EMDR is used to support clients experiencing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and the lingering effects of adverse life events. Rather than focusing solely on talk therapy, EMDR helps the brain reprocess memories that remain “stuck,” reducing their emotional intensity and impact on daily life.

Our clinicians are trained to guide clients through EMDR at a pace that feels safe and supportive. This approach can be especially helpful for individuals who have tried traditional therapy but continue to feel overwhelmed, reactive, or emotionally disconnected. EMDR does not require detailed retelling of traumatic experiences, making it a powerful option for those who struggle to verbalize their pain.

Through EMDR therapy, clients often experience improved emotional regulation, increased self-confidence, and relief from persistent triggers—allowing for deeper healing and long-term resilience.

SAP (Substance Abuse Professional) Services

Neuro Forge Therapy provides DOT-compliant Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) services for employees and employers navigating return-to-duty requirements following violations related to alcohol or prohibited drug use. SAP services are not therapy; they are a federally regulated evaluation and monitoring process designed to ensure safety, accountability, and appropriate care.

Our qualified SAP conducts comprehensive, face-to-face clinical assessments to determine the level of assistance required to address substance-related concerns. Based on this evaluation, the SAP recommends a required course of education and/or treatment that must be successfully completed before an individual may return to DOT safety-sensitive duties.

Neuro Forge Therapy also serves as a referral resource, helping employees connect with appropriate education or treatment programs that meet DOT standards. Following completion, the SAP conducts a mandatory follow-up evaluation to determine compliance and clinical progress. When appropriate, the SAP develops and oversees a DOT-required follow-up testing plan and provides recommendations for ongoing care to support long-term compliance and well-being.

These services are conducted with professionalism, clarity, and respect for both employee dignity and employer regulatory obligations.

Addiction & Substance Use Counseling

Neuro Forge Therapy provides addiction and substance use counseling for individuals seeking support with alcohol use, drug use, and behavioral addictions. Our clinicians approach addiction through a trauma-informed and non-judgmental lens, recognizing that substance use often develops as a coping strategy rather than a moral failing.

Treatment focuses on understanding underlying emotional, relational, and neurological factors that contribute to addictive behaviors. We work collaboratively with clients to build healthier coping skills, strengthen emotional regulation, and reduce reliance on substances over time. Therapy may address co-occurring concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, or grief.

Whether clients are seeking harm-reduction support, recovery maintenance, or early intervention, our goal is to meet each individual where they are. Addiction counseling at Neuro Forge Therapy emphasizes dignity, accountability, and sustainable change—supporting long-term recovery and improved quality of life.

Grief & Loss Counseling

Grief is a deeply personal experience that can arise from loss of a loved one, relationship changes, health challenges, or major life transitions. Grief counseling at Neuro Forge Therapy offers a supportive space to process loss without judgment, timelines, or expectations of “moving on.”

Our therapists help clients explore the emotional, physical, and cognitive aspects of grief while honoring the unique meaning of what has been lost. Therapy may include processing complicated emotions such as guilt, anger, numbness, or unresolved trauma connected to the loss. We support individuals experiencing acute grief, prolonged grief, and cumulative or ambiguous loss.

Through compassionate counseling, clients can find ways to integrate grief into their lives while restoring a sense of purpose, connection, and emotional balance. Grief therapy is not about forgetting—it is about healing in a way that allows life to continue with meaning and authenticity.

Equine-Assisted Therapy

Equine-Assisted Therapy is an experiential, relationship-based approach that incorporates interactions with horses to support emotional growth and healing. Offered through Neuro Forge Therapy, this modality is especially beneficial for individuals who feel stuck in traditional talk therapy or who benefit from hands-on, body-centered experiences.

Horses are highly attuned to human emotions and nervous system states, offering real-time feedback that can increase self-awareness, emotional regulation, and confidence. Sessions may focus on boundaries, trust, communication, and stress responses in a non-verbal, supportive environment.

Equine-assisted therapy can be effective for trauma recovery, anxiety, grief, and relational challenges. No prior experience with horses is required. This approach provides a unique opportunity for healing through connection, presence, and embodied learning.

Therapy for Adolescents, Adults & Geriatric Clients

Neuro Forge Therapy provides developmentally appropriate counseling for adolescents, adults, and older adults, recognizing that mental health needs evolve across the lifespan. Our clinicians tailor therapy to address age-specific challenges, life transitions, and emotional concerns.

Adolescent therapy may focus on identity development, emotional regulation, peer relationships, and family dynamics. Adult therapy often addresses stress, trauma, relationships, and life transitions. Geriatric counseling supports individuals navigating aging, loss, health changes, and meaning-making later in life.

Across all ages, therapy is grounded in respect, collaboration, and individualized care—supporting emotional well-being at every stage of life.

LGBTQ+ Affirming Therapy

Neuro Forge Therapy proudly offers LGBTQ+ affirming counseling in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. Our clinicians understand the unique stressors that LGBTQ+ individuals may face, including identity exploration, minority stress, discrimination, family dynamics, and trauma.

Therapy is grounded in affirmation, cultural humility, and respect for each client’s lived experience. We support individuals across sexual orientations and gender identities, offering care that validates identity while addressing mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges.

Our goal is to provide a therapeutic space where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to live authentically. LGBTQ+ affirming therapy at Neuro Forge Therapy centers dignity, resilience, and personal agency.
