Melissa Preece, LCSW-S, LCDC

Melissa Preece, LCSW-S, LCDC is the Founder and CEO of Neuro-Forge Therapy, bringing over 20 years of experience in mental health and substance use treatment. Her commitment to supporting individuals through life’s challenges is rooted in both personal experience and decades of service.

Melissa’s journey began in 1992 as a volunteer at a domestic violence shelter, sparking her passion for helping others. This led her to pursue extensive education, earning degrees in Substance Abuse Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, and Social Work. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Supervisor in Texas) and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, holding licenses in Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.

Melissa is EMDR certified and an EMDRIA-approved EMDR consultant, providing advanced guidance in trauma treatment. She is also a board-certified LCSW supervisor, offering clinical supervision for licensure, consultation, and professional training for mental health professionals.

Throughout her career, Melissa has worked in various settings, including residential treatment, drug court, probation, inpatient psychiatric care, PHP/IOP programs, and private practice. After years of balancing part-time private practice with full-time leadership roles, she transitioned fully to private practice in 2020, expanding her focus on trauma, substance use, and complex mental health concerns.
